The wedding barn at Sandhole Farm overlooks an idyllic 6 acre lake set in open rolling Cheshire countryside.
This stunning building needs to be seen to be appreciated. The Barn is available for weddings with or without a civil ceremony and will seat up to 150 guests.
This unique Oak Barn has been built to a traditional design using high quality workmanship and materials. The oak beams are mellow and impressive in the style of a medieval barn. New oak has been used extensively throughout. Impressive wrought iron cartwheel chandeliers and wall lights have been made by a local blacksmith. Under floor heating ensures a warm welcome while strategically placed feature cast radiators can give an extra boost if needed.
The Civil Ceremony area has a wooden floor, plenty of natural light and beautiful views across the idyllic 6 acre lake. A grand piano is available in this area or you may use the venue’s sophisticated sound system for playing your own CD’s. This area is separated and screened from the dining area by heavy, natural drapes that can be drawn back later. The dining area has a neutral carpet and full length windows overlooking the lake and there is a spacious verandah also overlooking the lake and the open countryside.
Overnight accommodation is available for the wedding couple and their guests, for a separate charge, in the restored Stables, the oldest part of which is about 300 years. The bedrooms are both characterful and comfortable with the original oak beams and round pitch-holes sitting happily alongside the comforts that you would expect in a top quality B&B.
